Closing date for the current round of Pitch your Project will be:
midnight on 16th December 2008
All entries must be completed online. Special arrangements can be requested by telephone or email. All unsuccessful applicants will be informed via email or letter
- Pitch your Project events days will take place between January and March 2009
- Entrants may be asked to take part in post competition publicity.
- Those taking part in the Pitch your Project day will be expected to be filmed and to sign an agreement to that effect
- Each group will be asked to consult with at least 5 volunteers in preparing the pitch and those volunteers encouraged to join TimeBank’s volunteer database
- All organisations taking part will make it known to their group the benefits of becoming a member of the Foundation Trust. They will work with representatives of their local Trust to find a suitable a mechanism help people take up free membership of their Foundation Trust.
- The five shortlisted organisations in each area will receive £250 to cover the costs of preparing for the pitch and travel to the hospital. This payment will be made at the Pitch your Project event. No further expenses can be reimbursed.
- A member of the organisation will be available for the whole of the Pitch your Project day and be prepared to network and share their experiences with other organisations at the event.
- All shortlisted projects agree to take part in the evaluation process to measure the effectiveness of the scheme on the growth of their project.
- The five successful projects may ask for continuing advice from the experts, but this cannot be guaranteed. All five shortlisted projects will be expected to report on the progress of their idea.
- The winning project will receive £2000 seed money which will be presented at an awards ceremony.
- The winning project will keep a record of their experiences to share with others in the field.
- Pitch your Project reserves the right to shortlist fewer than five organisations and not to award the prize if applications fail to be of a high enough standard.
- Proof of sending is not accepted as proof of delivery. No responsibility can be accepted for unreadable entries, or entries which fail to arrive by the closing date.
- Judging will take place by 7th January and the decision of the judges is final. The winner will be notified within one week. The winner will be the entrant who, in the opinion of the judges, has produced the most novel and appropriate response, in keeping with the concept of Pitch Your Project.
- Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.
